WHAT’S INSIDE
Prep the day before and actually enjoy the party
Diwali growing up meant a full table, made by my mom and dadi. This is how I host it now: the flavors I grew up with, planned and prepped in advance so the day itself is fun.
Two menus. 12 recipes across two complete dinners, drinks to dessert, plus 2 bonus desserts (one is my mom’s date fudge). Cook one menu start to finish, or mix and match.
Shop once. A grocery list for each menu, sorted by section of the store.
Prep ahead. A plan for each menu: what to make the day before, the day of, and when guests arrive.
Print the menu cards. Marigold menu cards, four to a page, ready for your table.
Set the table. How I set my Diwali table, with links to everything, plus my Diwali dinner playlist.

HEY, I'M SHEENA
Food has always been my love language.
I grew up helping my maaji roll out roti and my mom bake chocolate chip cookies. Those two worlds are still how I cook: Indian and American, comfort and creativity (sweet tooth included).
When I’m hosting, I lean a little more indulgent (80/20, always). This book is exactly how I host Diwali.

FAQs
Do I need to be a confident cook?
No. Every recipe is written step by step, and the make-ahead plan tells you what to do the day before, the day of and when guests arrive.
Will this work for a vegetarian Diwali?
Yes. Rooted is all vegetarian. In Remixed, make the butter paneer version of the lasagna with vegetable stock, and everything else is vegetarian too. Heads up: the two main menu desserts use eggs but you can swap for a flax egg or make my mom’s date fudge (a bonus dessert) instead.
I live outside the US. Will it work for me?
Yes. Measurements are in US cups, spoons and ounces, and every recipe gives the oven temperature in °F and °C.
How do I get it?
Right after checkout, you’ll get an email with your PDF. Open it on your phone, or print the pages you need.
