1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
½ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp salt, plus more to taste
¼ tsp black pepper
MASALA ROASTED CHICKPEAS
¼ cup cooked chickpeas (canned, drained & dried)
½ tsp tandoori masala
1–2 tsp avocado oil
TOPPINGS
¼ small red onion, finely diced
about 8 Cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
Fresh cilantro, for garnish
PAIR WITH
Crackers, tortilla chips, or naan
Instructions
Make the guac base
In a bowl, mash the avocados until smooth
Stir in garlic, lime juice, cilantro, garam masala, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Roast the chickpeas
Heat a small pan over medium heat with oil.
Add chickpeas and tandoori masala.
Toast, stirring frequently, until golden and lightly crisp. Set aside to cool.
Shape the wreath
Place a small bowl in the center while shaping so the middle stays clean and crisp.
Spoon the guacamole onto a large platter in a circular wreath shape by using the back of a spoon to create swoops and texture, similar to a butter board.
Add toppings
Sprinkle red onion, tomatoes, and roasted chickpeas evenly over the guac.
Drizzle mint chutney and imli chutney around the wreath.
Finish with fresh cilantro.
Serve
Remove the center bowl and serve with crackers, chips, or naan on the side.
