Spiced Cranberry Sauce
SERVES: 4-6
TIME: 30 MINS
Every turkey needs a standout sauce, and this year, make it this Spiced Cranberry Sauce.
It’s tart, warm, and just sweet enough, but what really pulls it together is the ginger, cumin, and cinnamon simmered right into the cranberries. It tastes like a classic chutney and a holiday cranberry sauce had a very delicious baby.

Ingredients
1 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup coconut sugar
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/8 tsp ground coriander (optional)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
2 tsp lemon juice
Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook Cranberries:
In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, coconut sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
Prepare the Spice Mix:
While the cranberries are cooking, heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat.
Add the grated ginger, cumin, coriander (if using), cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until the spices are fragrant and the ginger is softened.
Combine Ingredients: Stir the spice mixture into the cranberry mixture. Continue to simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the chutney reaches your desired consistency.
Finish with Lemon Juice: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Cool and Garnish: Allow the chutney to cool to room temperature. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
